OverviewHazelbrook Care Home is a modern, purpose-built home offering specialist and complex care for 80 residents across four 20-bed, bungalow-style households. We are now looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Activities to lead our activities programme and bring energy, creativity, and leadership to this vital role. This is more than organising a calendar; it is about creating a culture of engagement, connection, and joy. You will lead from the front, inspiring residents and your team to ensure every individual has opportunities to live well and stay connected to the things they love. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will shape and deliver a vibrant, inclusive programme that reflects the interests, life stories, and abilities of our residents. Your leadership will be key in embedding activities at the heart of daily life within the home. ResponsibilitiesLeading and developing a varied, person-centred activities programme that supports residents’ wellbeing, independence, and happinessProviding leadership and direction to activities staff, volunteers, and the wider team, fostering a culture where engagement is everyone’s responsibilityCreating both group and one-to-one experiences that reflect residents’ interests, life histories, and abilitiesBuilding strong relationships with residents, families, and the local community to enhance connection and involvementEnsuring activities are well planned, organised, and documented, maintaining accurate and meaningful recordsWorking collaboratively with the Home Manager and wider leadership team to continuously evolve and improve the activities offering Your RoleAs Head of Activities, you will take ownership of the activities programme, leading, coordinating, and delivering meaningful experiences for residents while inspiring others to contribute.
