Temporary Typist / Clerical Support Officer (Full-Time) Bath (on-site) Temporary contract until end of March Full-time We’re recruiting a Typist / Clerical Support Officer to support a busy clinical administration team in Bath. This is a full-time temporary role until the end of March , ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage digital dictation and day-to-day admin support. What you’ll be doing Providing a comprehensive secretarial and clerical service to clinical professionals Typing and distributing documents and reports, recording information, and maintaining accurate filing Ensuring patient information/data is accurate, complete, and available at the right time Updating records after appointments and retrieving supplementary documentation as needed Maintaining a case note tracking system , escalating delays or issues promptly Using electronic systems for correspondence, clinic management, and results retrieval Typing clinic letters using a digital dictation (audio typing) system Supporting general office tasks such as opening/sorting post Maintaining confidentiality and professional communication standards Keeping a tidy office/working environment and supporting team cover when needed What we’re looking for (essential) Audio typing / digital dictation experience Minimum 45 wpm typing speed Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, email, and office applications) Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask Accurate typing, including medical terminology (or confidence to learn quickly) Clear communication skills with staff and patients Team player with a professional, flexible approach Desirable Previous experience in an NHS or healthcare setting Knowledge of hospital databases / electronic patient systems If you’re immediately available and can commit to a full-time temporary role in Bath until end of March , apply now.
