Senior Cost & Value Engineer Dungannon 39.75 hours per week Competitive Salary + Benefits An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Cost & Value Engineering Manager to join a leading global manufacturer within the materials processing sector. This is a high-impact engineering role focused on driving measurable improvements in cost, quality, safety and delivery across complex heavy equipment platforms. The successful candidate will lead structured value engineering initiatives while influencing both legacy product optimisation and new product development. The Role Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will take ownership of Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives, delivering tangible cost savings while maintaining - or improving - product performance and reliability. Key responsibilities include: Lead and deliver site-level cost reduction targets (PPV, eCost and structured VA/VE initiatives) Conduct technical cost-driver analysis, component teardowns and redesign activities Apply simulation and virtual validation tools to optimise designs prior to physical build Support prototype builds and validation testing to ensure durability, function and safety Influence system architecture and target costing during new product development Lead supplier validation activities including PPAP, FAI and technical specification alignment Drive Engineering Change Orders and configuration control for robust production release Maintain transparent reporting of savings, risks and project progress Promote a strong safety culture, embedding "Zero Harm" principles into design decisions Share best practice and mentor colleagues across engineering functions This role operates cross-functionally across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and key suppliers. The Person We are seeking an experienced engineering leader with strong technical depth and commercial awareness. Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Proven track record delivering cost savings within manufacturing or heavy equipment Strong experience in hydraulic systems, component specification and electro-hydraulic control Background supporting New Product Development at system level Knowledge of supplier validation processes and cost modelling Strong understanding of DFM/DFA, GD&T and production-ready design principles Experience using simulation tools for hydraulic and mechanical modelling Data-driven mindset with strong Excel / reporting capability Chartered Engineer (or working towards) desirable Experience within crushing, screening or conveying equipment advantageous You will be commercially aware, results-driven, and comfortable leading multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.
