Location: Northampton office with UK travel approximately once per week Salary: £40,000 £65,000 plus £5,000 car allowance, laptop, phone, pension and travel expenses Hours: 8.00am to 5.00pm Holiday: 22 days plus bank holidays About the Company Our client is a specialist in high-end interior fit out and bespoke joinery, delivering projects across the UK and Europe since 2009. They are recognised for quality craftsmanship, creativity and exceptional attention to detail. Projects span multiple sectors including: Commercial interiors Retail Restaurants and hospitality Exhibitions In-house joinery manufacturing The Role We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established Principal Contractor delivering high-specification fit out and refurbishment projects. Project values typically range from £1m to £4m, occasionally rising to £16m. Schemes are fast paced and generally run between 4 and 12 weeks. Sectors include stadiums, museums, high-end retail, hospitality and commercial interiors. You will take full commercial responsibility from pre-construction through to handover, managing several projects at once. Key Responsibilities Full commercial management from project inception to completion Managing valuations, variations, applications for payment and final accounts Procuring specialist interior packages and ensuring specification compliance Negotiating and managing subcontractor accounts Measuring and valuing work on site Running multiple projects simultaneously, typically three Managing between four and fourteen subcontractors per scheme Overseeing eight to eighteen packages per project Attending site visits weekly or as required What We Are Looking For Experience in fit out or refurbishment, ideally xbpsjku within commercial contracting Intermediate level or above Ability to work under pressure and deliver to short timelines Strong financial and contractual understanding Package Salary between £40,000 and £65,000 £5,000 car allowance Laptop and phone provided Pension scheme Travel expenses covered 22 days holiday plus bank holidays Why Apply Opportunity to work on high-profile projects across several sectors Join a successful and fast paced team with national reach Strong prospects for career development and project ownership
