Quality & Safety Officer

Our client in Mallusk, a market leader in 3PL logistics with over 40 years experience, are looking for a Quality and Safety Officer to join their team. The purpose of this role is to ensure the consistent delivery of customer quality standards while maintaining full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and Customs Warehouse / AEO governance requirements. Hours of Work Monday Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Friday 8am-3.30pm with flexibility when required. Salary From £36,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience Key Responsibilities Maintain and develop site quality management systems Ensure compliance with customer specifications and contractual obligations Support preparation for customer and external audits Support ongoing compliance with HMRC Customs Warehouse requirements Assist in maintaining AEO standards and audit readiness Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation control Participate in internal compliance reviews and corrective action tracking Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and company policies Conduct risk assessments and regular site inspections Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis Deliver toolbox talks and promote a proactive safety culture Maintain safety documentation and reporting systems Experience & Qualifications Experience in Quality and/or Health & Safety within logistics, warehousing or manufacturing Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation Experience in Customs-controlled or AEO-certified environments desirable NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification desirable Strong analytical, organisational and documentation skills Key Competencies Attention to detail Strong communication skills Ability to influence and work cross-functionally Structured and process-driven approach Proactive problem-solving capability To apply, please forward your CV for consideration.
