Job Description
Stobart’s are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our depot in Doncaster supporting Asda, one of the UK’s largest supermarket retailers.
This role is primarily trunking to and from Distribution Centres, however will be a requirement to support General Haulage activities as and when needed, including Warehouse and Store deliveries, and supporting the wider Stobart’s network.
The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis and we have a variety of shift patterns including days (starting from 6am) and Nights (starting from 10pm) available working any 5 days from 7. Weekend work may be required depending on demand
Pay Rates: (All rates include a Tier payment and a Meal allowance)
Mon-Fri Days - £14.50 per hour
Mon-Fri Night Shift - £15.80 per hour
Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £17.50 per hour
Saturday and Sunday Night Shift - £18.00 per hour
Bank Holidays - £18.31 per hour. Driver Responsibilities:
Trunking runs between distribution centres from Doncaster depot
Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and general work supporting the network.
Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho Card.
Minimum of 12 months Class 1 driving experience
No more than 6 points on your Licence with no DD/ DR Code convictions
Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation
Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
Excellent communication skills
