Mental Health Social Worker - Adult Services An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Locum Mental Health Social Worker to join Adult Services in Calderdale. We are seeking a confident and knowledgeable practitioner with strong mental health experience, particularly in relation to Section 117 aftercare responsibilities, to support individuals with complex needs within a multi-disciplinary environment. Benefits: Dedicated consultant - your single point of contact Weekly payroll for reliable payments Access to CPD Training vie elearning portal Regular updates on locum opportunities Referral bonus of up to £300 (T&Cs apply) Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality statutory social work interventions within Mental Health Services Undertake assessments and care planning in line with relevant legislation Manage and coordinate Section 117 aftercare duties Work collaboratively with health colleagues and partner agencies Support individuals with complex mental health needs Contribute to safeguarding and risk management processes Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records To be considered for the role, ideally you will have: Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification Social Work England (SWE) registration Significant experience within Adult Mental Health Services Demonstrable Section 117 experience (essential) Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Care Act, and Mental Capacity Act Excellent assessment and analytical skills Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and well-established service making a meaningful impact within the community.
