Equiduct is the leading pan-European retail exchange built around the specific needs of the retail community.Focused on providing execution and market data solutions for our clients in the post MiFID environment, Equiduct has developed unique products designed to revolutionise retail trading by facilitating order executions against a number of Liquidity providers competing to ensure market participants are able to benefit from the best prices available in Europe.Thanks to our proprietary VBBO price discovery mechanism and unique ALP liquidity, Equiduct enables retail brokers to achieve Best Execution in Europe’s most desired equities and ETFs across 13 European markets and provides high-quality cost-effective market data and insight products for both the retail community and institutional clients alike.In 2025, Equiduct reported 35 active retail brokers, 18.6 million trades executed, and a turnover of €108.3 billion.About the RoleTo support Equiduct’s growth, we are looking for a Head of Liquidity to lead the exchange’s liquidity strategy and strengthen its relationships with liquidity providers.The Head of Liquidity will act as the primary owner of Equiduct’s engagement with liquidity providers, ownership of existing and new market making programs and the successful delivery of market quality that support the venue’s strategic objectives. The role requires deep understanding of European equity and ETF market structure, strong existing relationships with liquidity providers, and the ability to operate within a dynamic regulatory and fast evolving competitive landscape.Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, with regular interactions with other Management Team members, this is both a strategic and hands‑on role, combining ownership of liquidity as a competitive lever with close involvement in product, market structure, and commercial initiatives. The role will work cross-functionally with teams across the organisation to ensure liquidity considerations are embedded in key decisions and initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Leading Equiduct’s liquidity strategy, in line with the firm’s strategic objectivesOwning existing and new market making programs across the exchangeOwning, managing and strengthening relationships with Equiduct’s MMs and LPsConducting ongoing monitoring of market quality and the performance of liquidity provision programsBeing accountable for the overall market quality of the exchangeIdentifying opportunities to enhance the programs and support the growth of trading activity across the venueCoordinating with internal teams to support liquidity-related initiativesMaintaining a strong understanding of European equities and ETF market structure, liquidity dynamics, and competitive developmentsRepresenting Equiduct in liquidity-provider-facing forums, industry events, and relevant market discussionsProviding regular feedback to the Management Team on market quality, competitive positioning, and regulatory or market structure developmentsSkills & QualificationsThe successful candidate will have:A Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field from a leading institution8+ years of experience in exchange, market making, liquidity management, electronic trading, or related roles within an exchange, MTF, brokerage, or proprietary trading firmDeep understanding of European equities and ETF market structure, trading dynamics, and liquidity provision modelsDemonstrated ability to analyse market quality and liquidity data and translate quantitative insights into actionable decisionsStrong experience working with data, performance metrics, and liquidity KPIs, including the design and interpretation of dashboards and reporting toolsComfort working with large datasets and analytical tools to monitor market quality and programs performanceStrong existing network and credibility with market makers, liquidity providers, and prop trading firms active in European marketsProven experience owning or operating liquidity provision or market making programs including quantitative performance oversightStrong commercial judgement and data‑driven decision‑making approachExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly explain quantitative outcomes to non‑technical audiencesProactive, self‑driven, and well organised, with the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced environmentComfortable with cross‑border collaboration and regular travel for meetings, events, and industry engagementsWhat We OfferAll the tech you needCompetitive base salaryStock optionsDiscretionary bonusNumber of paid holiday per year dependent on hiring locationLocationHybrid (Remote + Either Madrid, London, Milan or Stockholm Offices)10 to 15% EU based travel capacity to meet with LPs to progress conversations and maintain relationships, attend conferences and clients events.How to apply?Interested candidates are invited to send their CV and cover letter to the hiring manager wail.azizi@equiduct.com cc’inghr@equiduct.com.About Our Interview ProcessFor this role, we have a 3‑stage hiring process which will enable you to meet with various members of our Management team and HR:Video Interview with Chief Strategy Officer (hiring manager)
