Job Description
Fastmarkets Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC) is building a new function to support the company’s strategy of becoming a world‑leading PRA. Please note that candidates must have demonstrated experience with, and be accountable for, IOSCO assurance. The role reports to the General Counsel and partners with Fastmarkets leadership to deliver risk, compliance, and assurance oversight.
Principle Accountabilities
Lead and drive high‑impact compliance initiatives aligned with the strategy to become a world‑leading PRA.
Provide advisory compliance services related to all regulatory matters applicable to a PRA and maintain a technical understanding of business activities.
Design, implement, oversee and review compliance monitoring and testing processes for all commodities price reporting.
Ensure business compliance with the European Benchmark Regulation (BMR), manage oversight committees, and liaise with the Finnish regulator.
Be accountable for all aspects of examinations and IOSCO assurance reviews, partnering with stakeholders to resolve complex problems.
Develop and maintain a compliance roadmap for internal and external objectives, guiding the risk & compliance team in a professional manner.
Lead the delivery of self‑service tools, guidance, and resources to promote understanding of compliance requirements.
Manage the risk register, working with stakeholders to map emerging risks, establish mitigation plans, and report status.
Oversee Fastmarkets insurance programme and challenge leadership when regulatory standards are at risk.
Build and manage relationships with regulators and market authorities.
Collaborate with the Legal team to interpret laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.
People‑manage two Risk & Compliance Managers.
Embed the enterprise risk management framework (ERMF) into the business.
Develop KPIs to monitor and drive improvements in regulatory compliance and operational resilience.
Develop compliance training and policies, conduct business process improvement reviews, controls testing reviews, compliance investigations, and M&A transaction risk and compliance due diligence.
