Day to day of the role: Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to students aged 11-16. Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students. Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework. Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by school policy. Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events. Plan and prepare courses and lessons, following the school’s curriculum and teaching guidelines. Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes a passion for English. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Excellent subject knowledge in English. Proven ability to motivate students and achieve excellent results. Strong organisational and ICT skills. Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and to lead effectively. A passion for English and the ability to inspire and share this with young people.
