About Role: We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a great school in Southport starting as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a young person, providing tailored academic and emotional support within a secondary school setting. 1:1 Teaching Assistant Location - Southport, PR8 Type of work - Long Term Start date - As soon as possible Contract type - Long-term Temporary Full time/part time - Full time Pay: Paid to scale Hours: - 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Key Responsibilities: Work closely with a specific student to support their learning and progress across the curriculum. Assist with adapting lesson materials to meet the student's individual needs. Promote student engagement, confidence, and independence. Liaise effectively with teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers. Support the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with young people in an education setting, particularly those with additional learning needs, is desirable. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable Able to work collaboratively with staff A relevant qualification (e.g. Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is an advantage.
