We are now expanding our footprint with a new laboratory in Bristol and are seeking an experienced clinical leader to help bring it to life.
The Opportunity
We are recruiting a Senior Embryologist / Deputy Lab Manager to play a pivotal role in the set-up and ongoing operation of our new laboratory. This is a senior, hands-on role combining clinical excellence, operational leadership, and team development, working closely with the Lab Manager and wider multidisciplinary teams to deliver the highest standards of patient care, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Support the set-up and opening of the new laboratory, helping to establish workflows and activity
Assist the Lab Manager with day-to-day laboratory operations and capacity planning
Ensure compliance with HFEA regulations and UK legislation
Deliver and oversee high-quality embryology practice and patient care
Train, mentor, and support embryology staff
Work collaboratively with clinicians and operational teams to optimise patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation, records, and confidentiality standards
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development
Act as a key communication link between departments
About You
Qualified Senior / Lead Embryologist
HCPC registered
Strong working knowledge of HFEA regulations and UK fertility legislation
Experience in a hospital or embryology laboratory setting
Highly organised, detail-focused, and clinically rigorous
Confident communicator with a collaborative leadership style
Passionate about continuous professional development and clinical excellence
