What You Will Be Doing Cultivating and applying comprehensive education product expertise to inform strategic decisions Creating technical specifications that address critical technical decisions and emphasize simplicity, efficiency, and sustainability Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering workflows, supporting the strategic objective of minimizing manual effort What You Won’t Be Doing Pure people management; your technical and business judgment will be central to this role Spending time in meetings, committees, and administrative overhead; we have automated management tasks so you can concentrate on delivering business value through direct contributions High-level strategies without actionable implementation; your recommendations must be grounded in product-level understanding Principal Product Architect Key Responsibilities Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, owning fundamental competencies and delivering business value through flawless execution and strategic leadership Basic Requirements Substantial experience or passion for data-driven learning science 7+ years of experience making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture design patterns or major open source technologies 2+ years of experience making design decisions that involve cloud computing services (primarily AWS) 4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery ownership of a revenue-generating product Experience developing product features that leverage advanced Generative AI capabilities Experience applying Generative AI to streamline work processes About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
