Principal Platform Architect – Cloud Transformation (Public Sector) Location: Remote (with occasional travel to client sites) Security Clearance: SC required About the Role We are looking for a Principal Platform Architect to lead the delivery of cloud platforms and solutions that drive business transformation and deliver exceptional outcomes for users. This is a senior, hands‑on technical leadership role where you will work on complex, high-impact programmes across the Public Sector, helping to shape the architecture of cloud platforms, modern applications, and web‑based solutions. You will: Lead multi-disciplinary agile teams, providing technical guidance and fostering informed decision‑making. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, establishing architectural principles and strategic direction for platforms. Influence the technology landscape through development of blueprints, standards, and innovative solutions. Mentor and support colleagues, fostering career growth across the team and wider capability. Act as a technology ambassador, contributing to account strategies, customer relationships, and knowledge sharing. What We’re Looking For SC clearance and a desire to work on complex Public Sector programmes. Proven experience leading cloud platform delivery (migration, modernisation, web‑based applications). Strong track record in making technology decisions that deliver positive customer outcomes. Experience building and managing relationships with stakeholders at executive and C‑level. Proficiency with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members and peers. Experience developing business alongside sales and account managers. Managing others, setting objectives, and leading performance reviews. Actively contributing to technology communities and sharing insights. Experience in steering projects back on track and promoting new products or services.
