Maintenance Engineer

Our client is seeking a Dual-Trade Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support maintenance activities across a fast-paced production environment. The role involves ensuring machinery runs efficiently, carrying out routine maintenance, and responding to breakdowns to keep production moving. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and packaging machinery. Diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults. Support equipment setup, adjustments, and improvements. Maintain accurate maintenance records. Work safely and follow site procedures. Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime. Ensure all work and equipment comply with health and safety regulations and standards. Identify and suggest improvements to prevent future problems and enhance the efficiency and reliability of equipment and processes Person Requirements: Time-served or qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Strong multi-skilled background with experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (FMCG experience advantageous). Confident in fault finding on PLC-controlled systems and electrical installations. Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
