Head of IT Services – EMEA & APAC

London | Financial Services | Regional Leadership A global investment firm is seeking a Head of IT Services to lead technology service delivery across EMEA. This is a newly created regional leadership role, designed to strengthen operational oversight, elevate service standards and act as the senior IT representative across London and international offices. This is a visible, business-facing position requiring strong executive presence, operational credibility and the ability to influence within a global, matrixed structure. The Role Act as the senior IT lead for London and regional offices across EMEA and APAC. Build trusted relationships with senior executives and office leadership, ensuring expectations are managed and service quality remains high. Provide oversight of end-user technology services, service desk operations and regional IT delivery. Serve as the escalation point during major incidents, coordinating global teams, managing communications and maintaining calm under pressure. Elevate service levels, operational discipline and attention to detail across the region. Manage regional vendor relationships across multiple jurisdictions. Drive and support key transformation initiatives, including cloud-based telephony and workplace technology improvements. Ensure regional adherence to global standards, governance and security policies (originating from a US headquarters). Contribute to strategic planning while remaining close to day-to-day operational realities. This role is not purely strategic, it requires someone who is comfortable staying hands‑on, visible and accountable. About You 5–10+ years’ IT leadership experience within financial services. Strong background in IT service delivery and end‑user operations across multi‑region environments. Experience operating within US‑headquartered or globally governed organisations. Technically credible (Microsoft‑focused environment), with the ability to challenge and prioritise effectively. Proven experience managing vendors and third‑party providers internationally. Confident leading through influence rather than hierarchy. Personal Attributes Calm and decisive during outages or high‑impact incidents. High attention to detail and service‑oriented mindset.
