We are seeking enthusiastic, resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), communication differences, SEMH, learning disabilities, sensory processing needs and developmental delay.
This specialist school environment is warm, structured and therapeutic, with a strong emphasis on communication, independence, emotional regulation, life skills and personalised learning. Every day is different, and every success—big or small—is celebrated.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis, following individual learning plans.
Using strategies such as visual supports, sensory regulation tools, communication aids (PECS/ AAC) and consistent routines.
Working collaboratively with Teachers, Therapists, SENCOs, Behaviour Specialists, and Family Support Teams.
Providing emotional reassurance, promoting wellbeing, and helping pupils develop independence.
Assisting with daily routines, engagement in the classroom, outdoor learning, and community-based activities.
Creating a safe, positive and structured environment where every child can thrive.
