About the Home
An established, 7-bed therapeutic children’s home in Bradford, currently rated Outstanding , is seeking an experienced and driven Registered Manager to continue its exceptional standards and lead a high-performing team.
The home supports children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), delivering structured, trauma-informed care in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
This is not a turnaround role. This is about maintaining excellence.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will:
Hold full responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the home
Maintain and develop Outstanding standards in line with Ofsted regulations
Lead, mentor and develop a stable, experienced staff team
Ensure high-quality care planning, safeguarding and risk management
Manage budgets and occupancy levels
Oversee safer recruitment and staff performance management
Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance processes
Liaise with Local Authorities, parents/carers and external professionals
Ensure robust Regulation 44 & 45 processes are embedded and effective
Essential Requirements – Please Read Carefully
❗ Recent EBD residential experience as a Registered Manager is essential – candidates without this will not be considered.
❗ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People’s Residential) – or already enrolled and near completion – is essential.
You must also:
Have at least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within a children’s residential setting
Have strong working knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
Demonstrate experience managing safeguarding investigations and Ofsted inspections
Have experience maintaining Good or Outstanding ratings
Be resilient, child-focused and confident leading high-risk behaviours
