This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Social Workers with post qualification experience, or social workers who have successfully completed the ASYE Programme to join Northumberland County Council Adults, Ageing & Wellbeing Directorate. We have opportunities available in the following teams and locations: West Care and Support, Dene Park House Hexham Permanent, full time 37 hours per week About the role At Northumberland County Council, we take pride in our dedicated employees who are passionate about improving the lives of adults in our communities, ensuring they feel safe, healthy, happy, and independent. Care and Support provide a holistic and integrated service for adults aged 18 and over. We support individuals with both physical and mental health needs, working closely with a wide range of partner agencies; including drug and alcohol services, mental health practitioners, health professionals, housing services, the police, and children’s social care, to ensure coordinated and effective support. What we are looking for: Enthusiastic, qualified Social Workers with acommitmenttocontinuous development In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments and enjoy a healthy balance of autonomy and support. You’ll manage your own caseload while receiving regular supervision and consistent guidance from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and your Team Manager. A clear understanding of the Care Act and the Local Authority’s statutory duties is essential.
