This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Social Workers with post qualification experience, or social workers who have successfully completed the ASYE Programme to join Northumberland County Council Adults, Ageing & Wellbeing Directorate.

West Care and Support, Dene Park House Hexham
Permanent, full time 37 hours per week
About the role

Care and Support provide a holistic and integrated service for adults aged 18 and over. We support individuals with both physical and mental health needs, working closely with a wide range of partner agencies; including drug and alcohol services, mental health practitioners, health professionals, housing services, the police, and children’s social care, to ensure coordinated and effective support.
What we are looking for:
Enthusiastic, qualified Social Workers with acommitmenttocontinuous development
In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments and enjoy a healthy balance of autonomy and support. You’ll manage your own caseload while receiving regular supervision and consistent guidance from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and your Team Manager. A clear understanding of the Care Act and the Local Authority’s statutory duties is essential.

For this position you must have the following:
Degree in Social Work & registered with Social Work England
Successfully completed the UK Skills for Care ASYE programme
It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid UK driving licence and is either a car ownerorcanuseacar for work purposes.
