Learn more: Capacitas Cloud Excellence โ€“ Consultancy About the Role As a Principal Consultant , you will be a senior leader within our delivery team, taking strategic ownership of client engagements and operating in a highly customer-facing role. You will ensure that our technology assurance services deliver clear, measurable business value while shaping both client outcomes and Capacitasโ€™ future capabilities. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery partnering with senior stakeholders, guiding teams, and helping clients optimise technology performance, cost, and scalability. Key Responsibilities Partner with client stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and define clear, business-focused roadmaps to success. Lead and mentor delivery teams to execute high-quality outcomes, remaining hands-on where needed. Design and deliver assurance strategies aligned to long-term client and business goals. Perform demand forecasting and capacity planning to enable scalable, efficient IT operations. Proactively monitor systems to identify strategic risks and optimisation opportunities. Build trusted client relationships, identifying and developing further opportunities aligned to client strategy. Support pre-sales activities by shaping solutions for new customers and engagements, informed by real-world delivery experience. Contribute to the evolution of Capacitasโ€™ service portfolio by extending, automating, and improving offerings based on field experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-impact, client-focused environments, enjoys leading strategically, and is motivated by delivering tangible business outcomes through technology optimisation. Candidate Requirements Experience working with complex, large-scale, or fast-growing organisations, delivering structured technology and cloud advice mapped to business outcomes. Strong capability in predictive analysis, capacity planning, and risk assessment. Proven experience leading teams, projects, and budgets with accountability for outcomes. Excellent strategic planning and prioritisation skills, translating objectives into actionable roadmaps. Track record of building trusted client relationships and influencing senior stakeholders through data-driven insight. Highly analytical and data-driven, particularly in using cloud cost and usage data to drive efficiency. Proactive self-starter with end-to-end ownership of challenges and solutions. Confident communicator, able to explain complex trade-offs around cloud cost, performance, and risk. Comfortable managing multiple initiatives across cloud environments. Innovative, adaptable, and commercially mindedโ€”able to challenge spend, architecture, and operating models when required. Strong conceptual thinker with a holistic understanding of cloud architectures, financial drivers, and business outcomes. Collaborative and inclusive, working effectively across engineering, finance, and client teams. Deliver Great Work Provides strategic leadership, influencing change across teams and client organisations. Accountable for delivery of major programmes, ensuring outcomes meet client objectives and internal standards. Owns technical delivery across service areas, including complex or unfamiliar environments. Communicates clearly and persuasively, engaging and influencing senior decision-makers. Develop Our Business Supports Client Directors throughout the sales lifecycle, identifying and nurturing strategic opportunities. Recognised as a trusted strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders. Clearly articulates Capacitasโ€™ value proposition by combining technical and commercial insight. Ensures teams adhere to documented processes and confidently represents Capacitas IP. Creates operationally vital IP that improves scalability, consistency, and client outcomes.
