Registered Home Manager – Nursing & Residential Care
Woking, Surrey
£85,000 – £90,000 + 15% Annual Bonus
Compass Associates are exclusively supporting the recruitment of a Registered Home Manager for a highly regarded nursing and residential care home in Woking, Surrey.
This is a genuinely rare opportunity to step into a flagship service that has been exceptionally well led for many years. The current Home Manager has been in post for 16 years and is now retiring, leaving behind a home that is clinically strong, commercially successful and culturally stable.

The Home
The home is a large, purpose-built nursing and residential service providing care for older people, including those living with dementia and more complex needs.

The Role
As Registered Home Manager, you will have full accountability for the home’s performance, supported by a strong Deputy Manager, experienced clinical leads and an engaged regional leadership team.
Your focus will be on:
Sustaining high standards of nursing, residential and dementia care
Maintaining excellent compliance and inspection outcomes
Leading, developing and retaining a settled, committed team
Upholding the home’s strong reputation for quality and family engagement
Managing the operational and commercial performance of a high-occupancy service
Being a visible, hands-on leader within the home
This role suits someone who enjoys leading from the floor, building relationships with residents, families and staff, and taking pride in running an already excellent service.
About You
You will be an experienced and credible care home leader, comfortable taking responsibility for a well-performing, flagship home.
You will ideally bring:
NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Leadership & Management
A nursing background (RGN/RMN) is highly desirable
Proven Registered Manager experience within elderly nursing and/or dementia care is essential
A strong compliance and inspection track record
Confidence managing a commercially successful, private-pay focused service
A calm, values-led leadership style suited to established teams
