Job Description

Our team within the Northern Ireland are seeking a registered 'Chemotherapy Nurse' to deliver high-quality oncology care, support patients through their treatment journey, and contribute to the ongoing development of our field-based clinical workforce. This role is a unique blend of hands-on patient care and clinical development. Youll work directly with patients receiving chemotherapy while also supporting and developing other clinicianshelping to raise standards, build confidence, and embed best practice across services. Its an ideal opportunity for nurses who enjoy variety, autonomy, and the chance to influence both patient outcomes and clinical capability Working autonomously you will administer a range of haematological and solid tumour chemotherapy treatments, as defined in the patient's care plan whilst sustaining professional standards. Seeing between 1 - 8 patients per day, you will record all clinical data and document any adverse drug events via the correct protocol. Long lasting relationships will be built with patient's, carers and stakeholders to aide and support treatment and recovery. A full UK driving licence is essential as you will travel throughout the whole of Northern Ireland Whats in it for you? What key skills do I need to apply: To be successful in this role you will need to be fully competent administrating a range of chemotherapy drugs and also have the following skills and attributes: Be registered with the NMC - Hold a chemotherapy delivery qualification - preferably a SACT passport Be experienced administering oncology medications in a hospital or community setting Be confident in clinical assessment, IV administration, chemotherapy delivery, cannulation, and phlebotomy Passionate about person-centred care and supporting others Who we are?
