Senior Financial Risk Actuary (ORSA/RRP)

We are looking for a senior financial risk leader and qualified actuary with deep expertise in ORSA, Recovery and Resolution, Stress and Scenario Testing and Solvent Exit Planning. You will bring strong executive influence, the ability to translate complex balance sheet and regulatory risk into clear strategic insight, and the leadership to drive high‑performing teams focused on material risks. About the role Lead the delivery of high‑profile regulatory and strategic activities including ORSA, Recovery & Resolution Plans and Solvent Exit Planning. Act as a senior Line 2 leader, providing robust, pragmatic challenge and insight on material business decisions. Own and evolve key financial risk frameworks such as Risk Appetite and Stress & Scenario Testing, ensuring they are proportionate and commercially relevant. Partner closely with Executive and Business Leaders, influencing outcomes through clear, credible advice. Lead executive‑level exercises including the annual Recovery Plan fire drill. Build, lead and develop a high‑performing Financial Risk Operations team. About you Qualified Actuary (or equivalent) with strong life insurance experience, particularly annuities and BPA. Deep expertise in Solvency UK, IFRS 17, UK GAAP and balance sheet management. Proven delivery of ORSA, Recovery & Resolution, Stress Testing and Risk Appetite frameworks. Confident operating at Executive level with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A collaborative, credible leader who can challenge constructively and develop high‑performing teams.
