Talent Acquisition Specialist, Technology, EMEALocation: Oxford, UKDescriptionBased in Oxford, you will be a senior member of the GB & Ireland advisory team at Aurora, delivering cutting-edge advice to clients across the energy transition, with a focus on Ireland. You will manage junior colleagues in developing insights to help clients make better strategic and investment choices. You will support all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, synthesising conclusions into recommendations, and presenting to key decision-makers in the industry. You will develop data-based strategic insights into the energy transition for both public and private sector clients.Successful candidates will work in a dynamic, stimulating, and demanding yet supportive environment. They will apply their interpersonal skills to build connected, co-operative project teams. They will be given the responsibility to chart the path of their teams through projects, and opportunities to substantially influence the thinking of organisations across the energy sector. Over time, they will be able to grow into industry experts addressing major strategic issues for the industry.The position suits an experienced analyst or associate from a top-tier strategic or economic consultancy, energy company, financial services company, or knowledge-focused firm or institution. The successful candidate will combine technical ability with a strong client mindset and track record of dependable performance in team-oriented environments.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging advisory projects for our Irish clients, across a diverse range of energy transition technologies, business models and strategies, including planning out the work of the team and ensuring we maintain rigorous standards of analysis and clear communication of insightsLine management of junior analysts in the team to help them develop and coaching/managing analysts within a projectSupporting business development work, for example by contributing delivery plans to our proposalsWhat we are looking forRequired attributes:Minimum 3 years’ experience with I-SEM power marketExperience at a major consultancy, energy company, financial services company, or other knowledge-focused firm or institutionFirst-class or high second-class university degreeDemonstrated success in taking responsibility for project and process management in team-oriented environmentsProven ability to interpret and derive insight from complex quantitative data and informationAbility to communicate clearly and co-operate effectively with both technically and non-technically minded peopleSelf-starting, entrepreneurial mind-set, and desire to grow the businessPrevious experience working on energy-related projects or policy – particularly in the context of the I-SEMLeadership, management or mentoring experience demonstrated by previous roles of professional responsibility or extracurricular activitiesDemonstrated success in working together with clientsCompetence in advanced data analytics (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, Advanced Excel)Strong academic record, such as a Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant disciplineWhat we OfferSome of the benefits we include are:Private Medical InsuranceParental SupportEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Local Oxford DiscountsCycle-to-work SchemeFlu JabsAt Aurora, we will consider all requests for flexible working.
