CAD Technician (OEM / Inventor) £35,000 - £40,000 + Training + Progression + Enhanced Holidays + Free Onsite Parking + Company Benefits Newton Aycliffe Are you a mechanical designer with experience using Inventor, looking to join an industry leading company who will provide training and career progression opportunities? On offer is the chance to become a key asset to the business. You will be a core member of the inhouse design team, where you will work closely with the drawing office manager to bring bespoke machinery concepts to life. The ideal candidate will be able to use AutoCAD and Inventor to design components for tailor made machinery for the mining and quarry industry. This company have been established for over 50 years and our industry leaders in the design and fabrication of bespoke static and modular machinery for the quarry and mining industry. This is a highly regarded business with clients across the UK and Europe. This role would suit an experienced 3D CAD designer, looking to join a well-established OEM who will progress your career and reinvest in your development to achieve success. The Role: Create fabrication drawings including structures, tanks, chutes, piping, conveyors, and plant access Interpret layout drawings and develop full fabrication drawing packages Calculate weights and identify safe lifting points Produce bolt lists, material cutting lists, and itemised assembly drawings Conduct site surveys and collect all necessary measurements Review your own drawings and check drawings produced by other team members The Person: Experience in a CAD design role using Inventor Full UK driving licence If you are interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
