Senior Infrastructure Engineer | £45,000 - £55,000 | Hybrid | MSP

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) team that helps businesses unlock the full potential of their technology.
In this role, you’ll design and deliver enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions across Microsoft, Azure, and virtualisation platforms. You’ll work with a diverse range of clients, helping them modernise, migrate, and optimise their environments — all while driving innovation and best practice in every engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and support Microsoft-based solutions including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
- Deliver consultancy across modern data centre technologies such as VMware/Hyper-V, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Lead migration and transformation projects from legacy to cloud and hybrid environments.
- Assess client infrastructures, identify risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end managed services and solutions.
- Provide technical input for proposals and solution design during pre-sales stages.
- Produce high-quality documentation and ensure projects are delivered to specification.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
About You
- Proven experience in enterprise or MSP environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies:
- Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy
- Microsoft 365, Exchange Online
- Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security)
- Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Understanding of storage, networking, and backup solutions.
- Solid grasp of IT security principles in hybrid environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
Desirable certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect / Security Engineer
- VMware VCP
- ITIL Foundation
- Vendor certifications such as Cisco, Veeam, NetApp, Dell/EMC, or HPE
