What Youll Be Doing -Reactive Work Respond to emergency call-outs within agreed SLAs Participate in our out-of-hours support rota Diagnose and resolve faults across fire, security, and telecom systems Deliver both temporary fixes and long-term solutions Produce clear, accurate service reports Communicate confidently with clients about system status and next steps Planned Preventative Maintenance Carry out routine servicing and inspections to industry standards Test and maintain fire alarm systems (conventional & addressable) Service intruder alarms, CCTV (IP & analogue), and access control Maintain TECS systems including structured cabling and intercoms Identify system issues and recommend improvements Systems Youll Work With Fire Alarm Systems (BS5839) Intruder Alarms CCTV (IP preferred) Access Control Emergency Lighting (BS5266) TECS / Structured Cabling / Door Entry What Were Looking For ( Essentia l) Proven experience in fire & security servicing Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Solid understanding of relevant British Standards Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Full UK driving licence Confident IT skills for digital reporting Excellent communication and customer service Desirable FIA or relevant fire/security qualifications ECS/CSCS card IPAF/PASMA Experience with major manufacturers systems Understanding of SSAIB/NSI compliance Who You Are Organised, self-motivated, and proactive Calm under pressure, especially during emergency call-outs Professional, customer-focused, and detail-driven Flexible with out-of-hours work when needed What Youll Get in Return Flexible working hours On-call travel paid door-to-door £1,000 referral bonus for successful hires Fully expensed van, mobile phone, and laptop Private health insurance & life insurance 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with the option to buy more) Paid training, courses, and ongoing professional development Clear progression pathways within a rapidly growing group A genuinely supportive culture where youre valued and recognised A Workplace That Welcomes Everyone RangerFS is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
