Job Description

Lime is the largest global shared micromobility business, operating in close to 30 countries across five continents. We’re on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon‑free. Our electric bikes and scooters have powered more than one billion rides in cities around the world. Named a 2025 Time 100 Most Influential Company, Lime continues to set the pace for shared micromobility globally, spurring a new generation of clean alternatives to car ownership. We’re looking for a dynamic, forward‑thinking People leader to join our team as Director, Global People Solutions. As we enter our next stage of growth, you’ll design the Lime’s People infrastructure, advancing our systems, processes and service delivery to build efficient, compliant and employee‑centered operations. You’ll lead a global team focused on operational excellence across people (HR) systems and operations, ensuring our foundation scales with the business. You recognise their power in shaping a positive and consistent work culture, ensuring systems make work easier and help every employee do their best work at Lime. This is a remote position with a preference for candidates residing in EMEA or the United States to maintain effective collaboration across teams. What You’ll Do Lead and evolve People Solutions: Oversee a global team responsible for people operations and HRIS (including Workday management), ensuring accuracy, compliance and exceptional service delivery across all employee touchpoints. Modernise our tools: Oversee Lime’s HR technology strategy, including Workday optimisation, automation, integrations and vendor management, driving digital transformation and efficiency. Drive operational excellence: Ensure timely and accurate handling of employee support requests and transactions in line with SLAs, compliance standards and teammate expectations. Own payroll operations: Own payroll operations in partnership with Finance, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with global regulatory and reporting requirements. Ensure compliance: Partner with Legal, Compliance and COEs to ensure adherence to all state, federal and international labour requirements, including documentation, background checks, onboarding/off‑boarding, leaves, investigations and record retention. Simplify through partnership: Collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal and People COEs to align systems, policies and processes that enable consistent and scalable People practices. Use data to improve: Analyse case trends, service metrics and workload distribution to identify and implement improvements in processes and automation, ultimately enhancing the teammate experience. Develop the team: Mentor, coach and develop a high‑performing People Solutions team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and exceptional service. Manage change: Drive adoption of new tools and processes through clear communication, training and change management, ensuring understanding and engagement at all levels. About You 10+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Systems or related fields, with demonstrated success leading global teams in transforming and scaling systems for growth. Proven ability to design and execute scalable People processes with a global mindset across diverse geographies and functions. Deep expertise in HR technology ecosystems, ideally Workday, with a strong understanding of automation, integrations and data integrity. Skilled in balancing compliance rigor with user experience and operational efficiency. Experienced in payroll operations and governance, with knowledge of global compliance standards. Collaborative leader who builds trust and alignment across People, Finance, IT and Legal teams. Strong analytical and communication skills with a bias toward simplification and clarity. Strategic mindset with hands‑on capability – able to shift between long‑term design and day‑to‑day enablement. U.S. Based Position – What We Offer Comprehensive Health & Wellness: A choice of medical, dental and vision plans, with Lime covering 100% of the employee‑only premium for many plans. We also provide company‑paid life and disability insurance and company‑funded mental health benefits. Family & Fertility Support: Paid parental leave for birthing and non‑birthing parents plus fertility and family‑forming benefits. Time Off & Flexibility: Flexible vacation policy for exempt employees, paid sick time and a calendar of paid company holidays. Unique Lime Perks: Complimentary use of Lime vehicles in participating cities, a monthly phone allowance, dedicated learning and development days and access to perks including One Medical, Wellhub and Headspace. Annual performance bonus, equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s location of residence, the successful candidate’s skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable performance‑bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance and management discretion.
