Principal Mechanical Engineer – Manchester (Office-Based) Salary: Up to £65,000 base + £3,000 car allowance About the Opportunity Our client, a dynamic and expanding multi-disciplinary consultancy, is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their growing Building Services team in Manchester. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering innovative, sustainable, and technically excellent designs across a diverse range of projects. Located close to Manchester’s vibrant Spinningfields district, the office provides a collaborative and inspiring environment. The team works on landmark developments across the UK and internationally — from high-performance commercial and healthcare buildings to cutting-edge residential and retail schemes. The Role As Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take the lead on multidisciplinary projects, oversee design quality, and act as a trusted point of contact for clients and stakeholders. You’ll also mentor junior engineers, shape best practices, and help drive innovation within the team.
