Associate Search Community Analyst at Harmonic Executive | Executive Search Recruitment | 0203 773 3530 The Client: Harmonic are delighted to partner with one of Europe’s most admired B2B SaaS scale‑ups. Having surpassed $70m ARR and achieved global recognition as a category leader, the company has reached a pivotal stage of growth — transitioning from rapid expansion to sustained, international scale. Backed by world‑class investors and led by a visionary leadership team, the business has already secured long‑term enterprise partnerships across multiple continents and is accelerating its presence in North America. With a global team and strong commercial foundations, the company is now focused on embedding financial and operational excellence to support its next phase of growth. This is not an early‑stage build or a turnaround — it is a defining moment in the company’s evolution, where scale, ambition, and precision converge. The Role: Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will be a key member of the executive leadership team and a trusted advisor to both the Board and investors. The successful candidate will shape and execute the global financial strategy as the business enters its next phase of scale, providing commercial clarity and strategic foresight across a complex international footprint. This role combines strategic influence with operational ownership — ensuring finance continues to act as a front‑office partner that drives data‑led decision‑making across the organisation. The CFO will oversee global FP&A, corporate development, investor relations, and financial governance, ensuring the business maintains best‑in‑class SaaS performance metrics as it scales internationally. Key Responsibilities: Partner with the CEO and Board to define and deliver a global financial strategy that supports international expansion and long‑term enterprise value creation. Lead and develop an international finance team, ensuring reporting, forecasting, and decision‑making infrastructure evolve in line with growth. Drive corporate development and M&A activity, from opportunity assessment through to post‑deal integration. Champion financial rigour across the organisation — ensuring world‑class unit economics (ARR, NRR, CAC efficiency, payback, and margin) inform all commercial decisions. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial controls to ensure scalability and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Act as a key strategic partner to commercial, product, and operational leaders — translating financial data into actionable insight. Lead investor relations and financing strategy, providing transparent and compelling communication with existing and potential stakeholders. Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement within the finance function. Represent finance as a strategic, outward‑facing partner across the wider leadership team. What We Need to See: Qualified CFO or senior finance leader with experience in international, high‑growth B2B SaaS environments. Proven experience scaling finance functions across multiple geographies and time zones. Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and the commercial levers that drive outstanding unit economics. Hands‑on experience in corporate development, M&A, and post‑deal integration. Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial settings. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing Boards and investors. High emotional intelligence and a collaborative, leadership‑driven approach. What We Would Like to See: Experience leading investor relations or preparing a business for IPO or public‑market readiness. Prior exposure to VC or PE‑backed growth environments. A track record of delivering financial transformation in scaling SaaS businesses.
