Salary: To be discussed at interviewLocation: Brunel University & Ealing Trailfinders Rugby ClubInterview date: 23 February 2026ABOUT USThe Trailfinders Rugby Academy is the academy of Ealing Trailfinders, an ambitious andprogressive, rugby union club based in West-London.The Trailfinders Rugby Academy pathway runs from sixteen years of age through our Ealing Trailfinders Elite Player (ETEP) Program into our university academy based at Brunel University. The academy’s aim is to produce world‑class talent through a dual elite rugby and academic journey.This is an opportunity to join Trailfinders during a very exciting period of the Club’s history.THE ROLELead the provision of strength and conditioning across the whole men’s academy pathway.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPlan and lead the delivery of the athletic development model for all male Trailfinders Academy players based at Brunel.Mentor and develop the other staff within strength and conditioning pathway.Work closely with both medical and rugby departments to facilitate an environment where the players can realise their potential.Set clear roles and responsibilities for other academy strength and conditioning coaches.Plan and organize weekly schedule, training blocks, pre-season and off season.Strong understanding and practical ability to coach speed, agility, strength and size.Accurately testing players physical characteristics and relaying the information to other departments.Work closely with the Strength and Conditioning Co‑ordinator to ensure the academy strength and conditioning department is performing optimally to produce professional rugby players.Continue to develop your skills and knowledge.Be a strong, consistent example of all the Club’s values and vision.Promote, maintain and uphold the standards within the Club.Any other reasonable requestsTHE PERSONEXPERIENCEEssential4 year’s experience in a S & C position within elite sport. Preferably in a team sport.Knowledge & understanding of rugby union.Evidence of having led and managed other staff.DesirableExperience in elite rugby union.Have held a management role and possess experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders.QUALIFICATIONSEssentialBSc in Sport Science/ Strength & Conditioning related field.DesirableMSc in Sport Science/Strength & Conditioning related field.Accredited through USKCA, NSCA or ASCA.SKILLSETEssentialAbility to adapt quickly and thrive in a demanding environment.Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.A passion for working with youth athletes.Able to build relationships with both players and staff and contribute to the program in a positive and professional manner.How to applyTo apply for the Head of Men’s Academy Strength & Conditioning role, please send us a covering letter and a CV. #J-18808-Ljbffr
