Principal Platform Architect - Public sector Location: UK (Hybrid – Candidates must be outside the London area) Candidates must have active SC Clearance The Opportunity We’re looking for a Principal Platform Architect to take ownership of large-scale cloud platform delivery across complex transformation programmes. This is a senior technical leadership role where you’ll shape cloud strategy, guide architectural direction, and lead multi-disciplinary teams delivering secure, scalable platforms within the Public Sector (SC clearance required). You’ll operate at executive level, influencing stakeholders, driving technical standards, and ensuring platforms are built to deliver measurable business outcomes. What You’ll Be Doing Leading the delivery of cloud platforms underpinning major digital transformation programmes Defining architectural principles, platform strategy, and technical roadmaps Providing hands-on technical leadership within multi-disciplinary agile teams Making key technology decisions that drive customer outcomes and long-term value Engaging senior and C-level stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into strategic decisions Establishing development blueprints, engineering standards, and best practices Acting as a senior figure within the wider Platforms capability, mentoring and developing other architects and engineers Supporting account growth and contributing to strategic technology direction What We’re Looking For Proven experience leading large-scale cloud transformation programmes Strong background in AWS, Azure, or GCP (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) Experience modernising applications and migrating to cloud-native environments Demonstrated ability to lead architectural decision-making in complex delivery environments Experience engaging senior stakeholders and executive leadership A track record of mentoring and developing technical teams Experience operating within Public Sector environments (SC clearance required) Supporting business development alongside sales and account teams Leading performance reviews and managing senior technical staff Helping recover or stabilise complex delivery programmes Contributing to technology communities or thought leadership initiatives What’s on Offer 15% performance bonus Senior leadership position with influence across delivery, architecture, and platform strategy Opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most complex and high-impact transformation programmes #J-18808-Ljbffr
