Job Description
Oxford PharmaGenesis is looking for an experienced Senior Account Director who will lead and motivate colleagues, supporting them to deliver an effective, innovative and efficient service to our clients. This role requires occasional travel to the USA and Europe.
The focus of this role will be on leading a large publications account, plus several other smaller accounts, while continuing to grow the teamโs medical affairs business. You will work closely with the Communications Team Leader to provide dayโtoโday leadership of these accounts, while overseeing tactical plans and acting as a key point of contact within the company.
You will also be responsible for business development, securing new opportunities and expanding the teamโs portfolio, alongside accurate forecasting, budgeting and resource allocation.
You will oversee the teamโs client services to support sustainable growth and team development, mentoring and coaching colleagues, to ensure commercial effectiveness and operational excellence.
The team is based in our Oxfordshire countryside office, so we would like you to join us there, or at one of our remote working hubs, on a monthly basis.
We are looking for a motivated Senior Account Director who has:
significant experience in medical communications and publications account management
a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering strategic guidance and driving account growth
extensive leadership experience, including mentoring and coaching colleagues to achieve excellence and commercial success
expertise in identifying and developing new business opportunities, including leading pitches
strong financial acumen, with experience of reviewing account performance, budgeting and maximizing profitability
an in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical and medical communications industries, with the ability to anticipate trends and to implement strategic changes.
