HGV Mechanic

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, inspections, and servicing on a fleet of HGVs and commercial vehicles to ensure they meet safety and legal standards. *Responsibilities:* * Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Class 1 HGVs and trailers. * Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults. * Conduct pre-MOT inspections and prepare vehicles for testing. * Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues. * Complete job cards and service records accurately. * Maintain a safe and clean working environment. * Attend breakdowns as required. *Requirements:* * NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent). * Proven experience as an HGV mechanic/technician. * Full UK Driving Licence (HGV Class 1 is an advantage). * Good understanding of DVSA regulations. * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. * Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. *Desirable:* * IRTEC accreditation (preferred but not essential). * Experience with a range of commercial vehicle brands. * Welding/fabrication skills (preferred but not essential) *Benefits:* * Competitive salary + overtime. * Ongoing training & career progression. * 28 days holiday (including bank holidays). * Uniform & PPE provided. *Working Pattern:* * Monday to Friday * Weekend availability/overtime (as required) * Two shift system early/late If you’re a reliable and motivated HGV Mechanic looking to work with a supportive team, apply today!
