OverviewAI Solutions Architect role at EXL in London, United Kingdom (flexible hybrid work).RoleWe are looking for a visionary and technically accomplished Generative AI Solutions Architect to lead client-facing initiatives in Generative and Agentic AI. This is a high-impact, senior consulting role combining deep technical expertise, solution architecture, and strategic client advisory. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, design and architect robust AI solutions, and lead complex implementations that deliver measurable outcomes. You will help shape EXL’s strategy and market presence as a leader in Generative and Agentic AI innovation.This role offers the opportunity to work on pioneering AI projects with a global team, influencing AI strategy across major enterprise clients in industries such as banking, insurance, utilities, and travel. You will be part of a collaborative environment where innovation is encouraged and your contributions are valued.ResponsibilitiesClient Advisory & Solutioning: Engage directly with senior client stakeholders (including C-suite) to understand complex business challenges, identify GenAI and Agentic AI opportunities, and define project scope.Workshop Facilitation: Design, lead, and facilitate high-impact client workshops and strategy sessions to identify and prioritise GenAI use cases and roadmap development.Technical Leadership & Architecture: Design, architect, and oversee development and deployment of scalable GenAI and Agentic AI systems (including multi-agent workflows) for client and internal use.Projects & Engagement Leadership: Lead large-scale GenAI/Agentic AI projects from conception to deployment, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery with clear success metrics (model performance, business impact, time-to-value).Change Management & AI Adoption: Support change management to drive GenAI adoption within client environments, including training and stakeholder enablement.Technical Mentorship: Mentor technical teams in best practices for advanced AI development, deployment, MLOps/LLMOps, and agentic systems.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating complex concepts clearly.Innovation & IP Development: Contribute to internal GenAI innovation through accelerators, reusable assets, and thought leadership (whitepapers, prototypes, demos, blogs).Internal Collaboration: Evangelise GenAI capabilities with business development and delivery teams to support proposals, PoCs, and capability development.Quality & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to software engineering principles, Agile methodologies, and responsible AI practices.Staying Current: Maintain deep expertise in GenAI, LLMs, and Agentic AI trends, tools, and technologies; contribute to practice development and delivery playbooks.Proposal Support: Act as a solution architect in strategic pursuits, helping develop proposals, estimates, and delivery approaches for GenAI opportunities.QualificationsProgramming & Libraries: Deep proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML/NLP libraries (e.g., transformers, spaCy, NLTK).LLM Expertise: Experience developing applications with state-of-the-art LLMs (e.g., GPT, Llama, Mistral, Claude), including prompt engineering and fine-tuning.GenAI & Agentic Frameworks: Hands-on mastery of core GenAI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) and Agentic AI concepts (AutoGen, CrewAI, LangGraph, multi-agent collaboration).AI Architecture: Deep understanding of AI/ML system architecture, including microservices, event-driven patterns, RAG, Graph RAG, and multi-agent systems.Vector Databases & Embeddings: Experience with embedding models and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS).Advanced AI Concepts: Complex task decomposition for agents, reasoning engines, knowledge graphs, autonomous agent design, and evaluation methodologies for AI systems.Software Engineering: Strong software engineering principles for scalable, maintainable AI products.Cloud Platforms & MLOps: Deployment experience on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and robust MLOps/LLMOps pipelines.Leadership & CommunicationLeadership: Proven ability to lead diverse, global teams; strong communication skills to explain AI concepts to stakeholders.Project Management: Strong program management experience in Agile environments.Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in CS/AI/ML or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
