Corporate Tax Director / Senior Leadership Opportunity (South Coast)Hybrid working | Flexible location (Southampton / wider South Coast)A superb opportunity has arisen within a high‑performing tax team for an experienced corporate tax professional with strong compliance and advisory expertise. This role will involve helping to lead and develop an established corporate tax function and a broad portfolio of OMB/SME and large corporate clients, delivering a blend of compliance, advisory, and strategic support.You will be joining a large, collaborative, multi‑disciplinary tax team of more than 100 professionals spread across multiple offices, supported by a group of highly experienced tax partners. The environment offers genuinely interesting and meaningful work, alongside excellent scope to progress your tax career.The firm offers flexible, hybrid working and a culture focused on development, wellbeing, and long‑term career growth.OverviewKey ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesClient & Relationship ManagementPlay a leading role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients.Act as a trusted adviser, delivering a comprehensive corporate tax service across compliance and advisory matters.Liaise closely with colleagues in accounts and audit to ensure seamless client service.Leadership & Team DevelopmentManage the complex corporate tax team, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and day‑to‑day support.Review complex corporate tax computations and returns.Support with training initiatives, including developing tax‑technical materials and delivering internal or external presentations.Technical & Advisory WorkProvide clear, accurate interpretation and application of current tax legislation.Act as a key contact with HMRC, including working with Customer Compliance Managers where relevant.Support clients through HMRC enquiries and investigations.Commercial & Operational ResponsibilitiesOversee work‑in‑progress, billing, and debt collection to ensure efficient financial management.Support wider operational planning where required.About YouSignificant experience in corporate tax, with strong exposure to large corporate compliance.CTA qualified (ACA or ACCA advantageous).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident working with stakeholders at all levels.Self‑motivated, accurate, and able to work under pressure.Strong problem‑solver with a collaborative approach and a desire to contribute to a wider team culture.Why This Firm?This opportunity sits within one of the largest independent accountancy and advisory firms in the region.
