Responsibilities
Underwrite, structure and execute structured financings of specialty finance RE platforms and portfolio of RE backed loans
Research asset classes and markets relevant to potential or existing transactions to form trading views and inform transaction underwriting, structuring and risk management
Coordinate transaction due diligence and execution work streams with third party advisers and legal counsels
Model transactions throughout their lifecycles (origination, underwriting and post-closing)
Work in partnership with our client coverage teams to identify and assess opportunities and contribute to transaction idea generation
Prepare internal transaction approval memos and collaborate with credit risk and other control functions throughout transaction lifecycle
Role Requirements
At least 4-5 years or equivalent of structured finance underwriting experience in an investment bank or a buy-side outfit.
Strong understanding of real estate / mortgage backed loans essential; relevant experience in warehouse / portfolio / NPL financing desirable
Candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in RE-backed credit structuring, and comfort with loans documentation
Strong quantitative and technical abilities including financial modelling and excellent attention to detail.
Proven project management, analytical and credit skills
