We are recruiting a new Market Group Manager covering our business activities in the UK’s Defence Nuclear Enterprise – a critical role. What you’ll be doing Oversee business development efforts across key defence, engineering and technology sectors, aligning with strategic objectives. Build and manage long‑term client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and first point of contact. Accountable for identifying and mitigating commercial risks. Identify and qualify new business opportunities. Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of pipeline, performance and market intelligence to senior leadership. Line manager for a group of Business Managers, providing functional leadership, coaching and mentoring. Essential experience Skillful in enhancing business development and boosting sales, ideally within Defence/Land Domain, but applicable to wider defence, engineering or technology sectors. Ability to engage with technical teams and translate complex offerings into compelling business value. Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills. Organised professional with a strategic mindset and a results‑driven attitude. Desirable experience Background in consulting would be advantageous. Existing network within defence primes, government agencies or related industries. Experience with framework agreements and public sector bids. Degree in business, engineering or a related field.
