PwC UK Birmingham, England, United KingdomOverviewJoin the Private Business team to provide corporate tax advice to privately owned and Private Equity backed businesses, along with owners and management teams, on all aspects of tax in the UK and abroad including shareholder issues. You’ll work closely with experienced Private Business Partners and Directors to develop new client relationships and pursue opportunities within the market.Our curious minds and collaborative spirit enable us to work together, helping clients navigate the ever changing tax landscape. As part of the team you’ll be actively encouraged to consult, share specialist knowledge and ideas to deliver best in class service.A key role in a growing team, you’ll be involved in developing new client relationships (including many well-known household names), identifying and pursuing opportunities from within our market.ResponsibilitiesOwnership for a diverse and broad portfolio of client engagements, including privately owned and private equity portfolio companies, advising on tax technical issuesDeveloping significant market relationships with clients and internal stakeholdersCollaborating across the firm when delivering complex projectsMaintaining an expert level of relevant tax knowledge (UK and overseas), including changes in tax law and legislationThe successful candidate will possess initiative, drive, and the ability to lead and grow a team, maintaining deep, trusted long-term relationships with clients and market contacts.QualificationsACA and/or CTA qualification (or international equivalent)Relevant and up-to-date UK (and some overseas) tax knowledgeExperience with more complex tax issues facing privately or family-owned businesses, private equity portfolio companies and business ownersProject management skills – able to manage several client projects simultaneouslyStakeholder management and coaching ethosExcellent written communication, including reports and technical memosWhat You’ll ReceiveNo matter where you are in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support you, recognising and rewarding your contributions.
