Working with a fast-growing, award-winning mid-tier accountancy and advisory practice with a strong presence across the South West and West Midlands. With a modern, people-first culture and an ambitious growth strategy, the firm supports a broad client base ranging from entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses to scaling corporates and complex groups.This is a key hire into a growing Employment Tax offering, based either in Birmingham (new office) or Bristol (established office), with hybrid working available. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality advisory work, developing junior talent, and helping shape the future direction of the service line.ResponsibilitiesLead and deliver a wide range of Employment Tax advisory projects, including benefits and reward planning, PAYE settlement agreements, termination payments, and general compliance/advisory support.Advise on international employment matters (where applicable), including cross-border working, short-term business visitors, and related employer obligations.Support clients with NMW and CIS-related queries and enquiries (CIS experience welcomed but not essential).Provide Employment Tax input on transactions, including advising on acquisition/sale scenarios and producing/signing off Employment Tax due diligence reports.Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to add value.Coach, develop, and mentor trainees and junior team members—helping them progress into confident, commercially minded advisors.Contribute to business development: proposals, networking, internal cross-referrals, and growing the Employment Tax profile across the wider firm.Support leadership with service development and strategy, shaping propositions, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement.RequirementsProfessionally qualified and/or appropriately qualified by experience (e.g., ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent), with strong Employment Tax expertise gained in practice (or a relevant in-house environment).Proven experience delivering Employment Tax advisory work and managing multiple client engagements.International employment advisory exposure is desirable.Experience with CIS is helpful but not essential.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly.A collaborative leadership style with a genuine interest in coaching and developing others.Commercial mindset and an appetite to support growth through networking and business development activity.Competitive base salary with performance-related bonusHybrid working and flexibility (including part-time/adjusted hours considered)Additional festive closure days around Christmas/New YearContributory pension schemeLife assuranceHealth cash plan and wellbeing support (including digital GP access and counselling)Employee wellbeing platform and initiativesRegular social events and firm-wide activitiesExcellent training and development opportunities, including support for continued professional learning #J-18808-Ljbffr
