Regulation 44 Visitor (Children’s Homes) / REG 44 Location: England (multiple regions) Rate: Competitive per visit or day rate (DOE) Role Summary We are recruiting for Regulation 44 Visitors / Reg 44 to deliver independent visits and written reports across children’s homes in England. This is a contract-based role offering ongoing, regionally varied assignments. The focus is on clear professional judgement, strong written reporting, and practical quality assurance insight . Key Responsibilities Deliver Regulation 44 visits in line with statutory requirements Produce clear, high-quality written reports suitable for governance and senior oversight Identify themes, risks, and emerging concerns across services Highlight practical improvement actions and areas of good practice Engage professionally with providers and senior stakeholders Support wider quality assurance or inspection readiness activity where required Essential Requirements Proven experience delivering Regulation 44 visits , or a strong equivalent background in children’s residential QA, inspection, or governance Excellent written reporting skills and attention to evidence Sound professional judgement and calm, credible stakeholder approach Ability to work independently across assigned regions Engagement Details Associate / contract role with ongoing assignments Per-visit or day-rate engagement Opportunities across multiple regions ASAP starts available
