Legal Director - Trusts and Estates Disputes TeamDepartment: Shakespeare Martineau - Wealth - Private Client - Private Client - 1302Employment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: BristolDescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a 5 year+ PQE Solicitor to join our client-focused Trusts and Estates Disputes (TED) team.We are looking for a driven professional who is keen to develop their career within an experienced and fast-growing team. You will play a pivotal role in providing high quality legal services to clients on all aspects of Trusts and Estates Disputes work.Our TED team is one of the largest specialist teams in the country, and deals with all aspects of contentious trusts and probate work, including:disputes over wills and trustsfinancial provision claims,disputes with executor and trusteesdisputes regarding powers of attorney and contested Court of Protection applications.We pride ourselves on our technical expertise and resources to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients, which include large household charities, high-net worth individuals and financial institutions.What you will be doing:running own case load efficiently and cost effectively and within strict service level agreements as required by the clientsassisting senior colleagues on a broad range of TED casesadvising clients about the strengths and weaknesses of their caseshandling a caseload of differing complexitygetting involved in business development activities, both individually and as part of the Bristol and national teamsattending and conducting client meetingsdrafting and preparing court documents in a time sensitive mannerSkills and experience you will have:a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in an administrative role gained within a legal or professional services environmentconfidence with IT systems to include Microsoft Word and Excela minimum grade C pass at GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and MathematicsKey competencies you will need:a high degree of initiative and the ability to cope in a demanding environmentthe ability to be proactive and effectively manage your own workloadto be resilient, confident and calm under pressureexceptional attention to detail and accuracyan entrepreneurial nature and an outgoing mannerexcellent organisational, prioritising and time management skillsstrong negotiation and communication skillsBenefits, Agile Working and Additional informationWe embrace agile working and offer a blended approach to where and how we work.We appreciate that people have different needs and preferences and weโre keen to be flexible, after all, we value what you do, not where you do it.We have the following hubs across the UK: Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, Leicester, Lincoln, London, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Sheffield, Solihull, Stratford upon Avon & Tunbridge Wells.Want to find out more about our amazing benefits?Additional information: Please be aware, for some vacancies, where we receive high numbers of applications we may need to bring the close date forward.Due to the nature of the work undertaken, confirmation of employment will be subject to a variety of checks which will be carried out once an offer of employment is accepted.
