Job Role: Vehicle Technician Richard Hardie Ashington and Richard Hardie Silverlink MG/FIAT/USED CAR SUPERSTORE Contract Type: Full time Remuneration: £29000-£35000, plus realistic bonus up to £5000 per annum Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, alternate Saturdays 8:30am-12:30pm. Our Vehicle Technicians play a key role within our Aftersales function, ensuring customer satisfaction in the service and repair of all types of motor vehicles. Richard Hardie is a proud family run Motor Retailer, with a heritage spanning over 5 decades in the Northeast, now representing MG, Fiat. About the Role Our technicians are expected to perform the following duties, and your package will be reviewed in line with your skillset: - Service and repair of motor vehicles - Ability to carry out basic electrical and mechanical repairs. - Able to carry out basic diagnostics. - Able to carry out timing belt and chain replacement - Able to identify upsell opportunities using electronic vehicle health check system. - Working as part of a team, and support both Aftersales and Sales teams - Willingness to learn and attend manufacture training. - MOT Licence desirable but not currently essential. - Fast Fit experience desirable but not essential. About You - Have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent. - Experience within a main dealer or independent environment or fast fit - Full UK Driving Licence - Own your own tools.
