Teaching Assistant Annual Salary: £14.63/£16.35 per hour Location: PR4 area Job Type: Full-time 08:45 - 15:15 Start Easter until Summer2026 Join our team at Heysham School as a Teaching Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to a friendly and supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone with a good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and who is looking for ongoing professional development opportunities. Day-to-day of the role: Assist in the delivery of daily lessons and educational activities tailored to the needs of KS2 students. Support the classroom teacher in preparing materials and setting up activities. Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment. Work closely with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning material. Participate in and supervise students during school activities and outings. Assist with the after-school club on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a finishing time of 4:30 PM (Not mandatory but paid) Required Skills & Qualifications: Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum. Experience in a teaching assistant role or similar educational position Strong communication and interpersonal skills. TA2 qualification or other relevant certification Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Commitment to professional growth and development. Benefits: Competitive hourly rate of £14.63/£16.35.
