Principal Solutions Architect · AI & Data Permanent | UK-Based | Client-Facing | Hands-On Leadership 2 days per in week in London office / occasional client travel Our client is expanding its AI & Data Practice and looking for a Principal Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and operationalisation of advanced AI solutions. This is a hands-on, client-facing role spanning conversational AI, automation, MLOps/LLMOps, and AIOps, combining strategic architectural thinking with deep technical leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact AI capabilities across customer experience, IT operations, and enterprise workflows. What You'll Do You'll shape AI strategy and create high-level designs for enterprise AI and automation solutions, translating complex business needs into production-ready architectures. You'll lead the development of Conversational AI implementations virtual agents, voice assistants, and multi-channel experiences, while implementing LLMOps and MLOps practices to manage the full model lifecycle from deployment through to performance optimisation. You'll design secure integrations using Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agentic AI frameworks, architect and scale AIOps platforms to enhance IT operations and observability, and collaborate across data science and engineering teams to build seamless AI-driven experiences. This includes providing technical leadership to pre-sales engagements and mentoring teams on AI best practices and responsible AI. What You Bring A strong background in AI architecture with hands-on experience in Conversational AI and LLM platforms, ideally including Amelia or a comparable product. Deep knowledge of LLMOps, MLOps, AIOps, and modern AI engineering practices, with strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB, or DB2, and comfortable working across Linux and Windows environments. Degree qualified or equivalent technical experience. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, you can articulate complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and senior client leadership. Interested?
