This role sits within a well‑established tax function and will involve advising a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurial clients on a broad range of corporate and personal tax matters.The position offers significant client exposure, responsibility for complex advisory work, and a key role in maintaining technical quality across the wider tax team. It is suited to a senior tax professional who operates comfortably at a strategic level and is seeking a clear pathway towards Director.Key responsibilities will include:Provide high quality tax advisory services to owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and their shareholders, covering both corporate and personal tax mattersLead client meetings to identify issues, assess risk and develop technically robust, commercially appropriate solutionsDeliver advisory work across areas including corporate structuring, business sales and acquisitions and personal tax planningAct as a senior technical resource within the firm, supporting partners and other qualified staff with day to day tax queriesTake responsibility for a significant proportion of technical reviews, ensuring advice meets internal quality standards prior to issue to clientsContribute to the development of technical standards, consistency and best practice across the tax functionAbout youYou will be a confident, technically strong tax professional with experience operating in a structured, quality‑focused advisory environment.Essential criteria:CTA qualifiedMinimum of 10 years' relevant tax experience, ideally within a professional services or advisory firmStrong technical expertise across corporate and personal taxation, particularly within the OMB / SME marketProven experience delivering and reviewing complex tax adviceExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and senior internal stakeholdersDesirable attributes:Commercially aware, with a pragmatic approach to risk and client outcomesComfortable operating within defined governance and review frameworksDemonstrable ambition and capability to progress to Director levelWhat we offerA senior advisory role with a clearly defined Director Designate pathwayExposure to high‑quality, complex OMB and SME tax workStructured technical review processes and collaborative working environmentStrong emphasis on technical excellence, consistency and professional developmentFlexible working arrangements25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), plus 2 days over the Christmas/New Year period set by the firm, plus where your birthday falls on a working day, an additional day for this too.About usTC Group is growing and changing at quite a pace!
