Overview Build the world you want to live in with a career in the infrastructure consenting team at Carter Jonas. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Partner with experience of Planning Act 2008 procedures to join our Infrastructure Consenting team. Location & Working Arrangements Based out of London, Birmingham or Leeds offices. Flexible working arrangements are encouraged, with a minimum requirement to be present in the office. Our Work Our fast‑growing team delivers on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) across rail, mass transit, road, power generation and transmission. We are already working with major infrastructure clients such as Network Rail, National Highways, National Grid and renewable energy investment companies. Key Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality technical, fee‑earning work for clients alongside land teams and project managers. Manage and deliver projects, including programme and budgeting autonomy, with support from senior management and partners. Participate in business promotion activities such as networking events, seminars, publishing thought pieces, and keeping the market updated on legislation and technical developments. Work on a wide spectrum of consent regimes, including DCOs, TWAOs, Section 36 projects, TCPA projects and NSIP applications. Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to promote services to new clients and showcase expertise. Qualifications & Experience Qualified planner or similarly qualified individual. Experience and knowledge of the NSIP and/or similar regimes, or managing large and complex project teams. Experience with Planning Act 2008 procedures. Willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK. Strong communication, leadership and business development skills.
