Maintenance Electrician

A well-established food-manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Maintenance / Electrical Technician to support day-to-day operations across modern production lines. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring machinery reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on production equipment. Diagnose electrical faults and perform corrective actions safely and efficiently. Maintain and repair motors, conveyors, control panels, sensors, and plant utilities. Support production teams with breakdowns and technical issues. Complete maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety and food-hygiene standards. Assist with installation, commissioning, and improvement of machinery and equipment. Essential Requirements Time-served Electrical Technician / Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Strong experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance. Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults independently. Understanding of health & safety, risk assessment, and safe-isolation procedures. Willingness to work shifts or respond to breakdowns when required. Desirable Experience in the food-processing or FMCG sector. Familiarity with PLCs, automated systems, or mechanical troubleshooting.
