We’re recruiting dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants to support adults across Cardiff in domiciliary care, residential services, and supported living. This is a vital front-line role where you’ll help individuals maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life within their own homes and communities.
You’ll be supporting adults with a range of needs including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, learning disabilities, mental health needs, dementia, and those requiring ongoing rehabilitation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Providing personalised personal care including washing, dressing, continence care and mobility support
Assisting with moving and handling and the safe use of aids and equipment
Supporting with meal preparation, nutrition monitoring, and healthy eating
Completing domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and bed making
Encouraging independence through daily living skills and community access
Supporting individuals with personal finances (as outlined in care plans)
Maintaining accurate, timely records and following all policies and care plans
Acting professionally, courteously, and respectfully at all times
Following training, safeguarding responsibilities, and health & safety requirements
What We’re Looking For
QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (Essential)
Driver (Essential)
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans
Understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and high personal standards
Calm, reliable, and committed to delivering person-centred care
Willingness to complete mandatory training and ongoing CPD
