About The Role
You will play a key role in managing and delivering projects for the nuclear industry, contributing to technical excellence, and collaborating with a successful team across the UK.
To deliver an exciting portfolio of nuclear, defence, and other energy and infrastructure projects, you will tackle complex challenges in a collaborative and forwardโthinking environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and execute electrical building services work on projects, following company and project procedures.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, meet project schedules, and stay within budget.
Scope and plan electrical building services work for various projects.
Lead and mentor electrical building services teams across our project portfolio.
Provide input into project planning and execution, including budgeting and manpower requirements.
Assign tasks with clarity on scope, quality, and deadlines.
Review and approve deliverables to ensure they meet required standards.
Attend engineering meetings and liaise with clients and other disciplines.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including CDM, safety, environmental, and site license conditions.
Review and check the work of other engineers.
Participate in design reviews and HAZOPS, providing expert advice.
Collaborate with project and engineering managers and maintain strong client relationships.
Requirements
Experience influencing engineering practices and outcomes.
Extensive engineering design experience within a regulated industry (preferably nuclear).
Previous experience supervising engineering staff.
Upโtoโdate knowledge of building regulations, legislation, and standards.
Proficiency in Hevacomp, Dialux, Amtech Power, AutoCAD, and IES (Revit experience is a plus).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Degree in a technical or engineeringโrelated subject (preferred).
Chartered status and membership in a professional body (preferred).
